Summer Walker has announced that her new EP CLEAR 2: Soft Life will be released on May 19 through LVRN/Interscope Records. The announcement was made by the singer during her performance at Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday night.
CLEAR 2 is the follow-up to Walker’s 2019 EP, CLEAR, which featured four acoustic songs without any guest appearances. The EP was released just three months after her debut project, Last Day of Summer.
Walker’s CLEAR 2 will be her first project since the release of her sophomore album, Still Over It, in 2021. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 166,000 equivalent units. Still Over It also broke the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album by a woman in history, with its tracks amassing 201.1 million on-demand streams.
Walker will be performing at Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 6, and at Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival in Atlanta, Georgia on May 13.
