Standards
Ethics and ownership
Independence only means something if readers can see how the money and the decisions flow.
Ownership
Loud & Proud Records is privately held by its founding editorial team. No exchange, token issuer, venture fund or protocol foundation holds equity, board rights or veto power over coverage.
Revenue
- Display advertising, sold by a commercial team with no editorial role.
- Reader contributions and newsletter sponsorships, which are labeled in place.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, ratings, listings or interviews.
Gifts, travel and events
Staff do not accept gifts, tokens, airdrops or paid travel from companies they cover. Where conference attendance is comped, that fact is disclosed in any resulting article.
Personal holdings
Reporters disclose digital asset holdings to the editor and recuse themselves from reporting where a conflict exists. Editors may require divestment before assigning a story.
Plagiarism and attribution
We credit and link to the outlet that broke a story. Lifting reporting without credit is grounds for dismissal.
